phil + cindy

Phil & Cindy were married on a beautiful perfectly warm day at the Kiana Lodge in Poulsbo.  It is the ultimate “Washington” venue with it’s totem poles and rustic feel.  I loved it!  Cindy’s family is from the midwest, and at one point during the reception, one of her brothers threw up his arms and yelled, “I love it here!!!”  And I concur, I love Washington.  And Kiana Lodge shows off some of it’s most beautiful features: the water, a glimpse of Mt. Rainier, our evergreens, and Native American art.  I am so excited to shoot here again in August!

Well, Cindy’s taste was immaculate and every detail was so well thought out, I was in photography heaven. Their wedding colors were turquoise and orange, and their flowers were some of the prettiest I’ve ever seen at a wedding.  Brightly colored bouquets are SO fun in pictures!  She framed photos for table numbers of the Pacific Science Center at night (where they met,) had wedding photos of both sets of their parents at the sign in table, and an actual film photo booth (woo hoo!) just to name a few fun details.

I had so much fun with you Phil & Cindy!  I love how laid back and fun you are together, and after witnessing your family sing “Sweet Caroline” it is not hard to see where you get your love for life from!  I am SO tempted to make that my family song too!  Thank you so much for having me and allowing me to be a part of your day, it was such a privilege and honor! 

And big props to Tana for setting up this ring shot, and second shooting with me!  If you are getting married this summer, you will meet her!  She is an amazing photographer and friend and we are shooting with each other all summer- it is going to be a blast!  You will love her :)
